Two weeks after the regulations were passed bringing the new pathways into existence the clinical guidance to support its implementation has been published.
The guidance is available to read on the NHS England Website or can be downloaded as a PDF here.
The 27 page clinical guidance explains:
- How to decide between a care pathway and banded course of treatment
- The eligibility criteria for entering a care pathway
- The delivery of the care pathway
Each of the three pathways is then explained and an example is walked through.
The LDC Confederation hosted a webinar on 30 June where Nick Barker, Deputy Chief Dental Officer, and Ali Sparke, Director for Dentistry NHS England, explained the new pathways. The recording is available to watch on the LDC Confederation website.
