The LDC Confederation is a membership organisation for Local Dental Committees (LDCs) and is based in London. It was formed as the Federation of London LDCs in the 1970s, offering collective representation of LDCs, ensuring the LDCs were as efficient and as effective as possible.
The LDC Confederation works across most of Greater London for its member LDCs. If you are unsure whether or not you are a constituent of an LDC which is a member of the LDC Confederation, you can see the list of member LDCs or you can contact us directly.
Dentists practising in areas in which their LDC is a member of LDC Confederation can contact us for advice and support. There is a range of benefits for dentists who are covered by a Local Dental Committee which is a member of the LDC Confederation, which include:
- the representation of dentists (individually and collectively) who are members of their Local Dental Committee locally, regionally and nationally
- important updates via email for dentists and dental service providers (you must subscribe)
- free and subsidised lectures and events for dentists, accredited with verifiable CPD
- bespoke advice and support for dentists and dental service providers (please contact us directly for these services)
For the LDCs themselves, the LDC Confederation offers its member LDCs a platform from which local issues can be raised quickly and regional and national issues can be dealt with effectively. We have a Council, which is formed by representatives from each member Local Dental Committee to lead our work, in line with the values and objective of our member LDCs.
