The Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, The Rt Hon James Murray MP, has written to the Review Body on Doctors’ and Dentists’ Remuneration to ask them to start the process of putting together their report and recommendations for pay and contract value uplifts.
The Secretary of State has asked the Review Body on Doctors’ and Dentists’ Remuneration to start the process earlier in the year than normal so that “awards can be made as close to the start of the financial year as possible”. This follows vocal concerns raised by the British Dental Association, among others, about the delays to implementing contract value uplifts in the past.
The full letter to the Review Body on Doctors’ and Dentists’ Remuneration is available on the Department of Health and Social Care’s section of the Gov.UK website.
