For those who may have missed it, the recent communication from the London Dental Commissioning Hub to all dental practices is available below:
Dear Colleagues
Following direction from NHSE, please find attached details of the Unscheduled/Urgent Care element to be mandated into contract deliver with effect from April 2026.
In addition to the letter outlining the London wide approach to the immediate next steps, please also find a Calculator Tool which will aid you in establishing the value attached to your Unscheduled/Urgent Care activity from April onwards and an Appendix which contains instructions as to how you can view the Unscheduled/Urgent Care service line on the practice facing COMPASS system.
We will be reiterating this detail at the forthcoming LDC events, however given the tight time constraints, we are moving at pace to ensure this detail is loaded onto COMPASS by 17th March 2026. To this end, some of the detail you hear on the National Webinar scheduled for 11th March 2026 will differ from the approach being taken in London, specifically in relation to the information referred to in the letter.
I am sure there will be queries regarding the above, however can I respectfully ask you to refrain from contacting the team until after 17th March 2026 to discuss them, as we require the maximum amount of time to ensure all detail is loaded onto COMPASS by the end of next week. Alternatively myself, Kelly Nizzer and Andrew Biggadike will be in attendance at the LDC event on Tuesday 10th March 2026 where we will be more than happy answer any questions.
