The LDC Confederation joins London’s Primary Care leadership forum

The LDC Confederation has joined the Primary Care London Leadership Committee, a new forum convened by Community Pharmacy London bringing together the representative bodies for NHS dentists, GPs, community pharmacists and optometrists across London.

The Committee exists to provide a unified primary care voice at regional and national level – supporting clinically led neighbourhood health development, influencing commissioning and contractual reform, and ensuring that the organisations which actually represent practitioners on the ground are shaping system design. It is not intended to replace existing representative structures, but to support alignment and shared influence across all four sectors.

For the LDC Confederation, this is a natural extension of the work we are already doing to integrate NHS dentistry into neighbourhood health planning across London. Primary care means all of primary care – and a forum that brings together dental, GP, pharmacy and optometry leadership shapes the collective voice that individual sectors cannot achieve alone.
