The London Assembly Health Committee has today launched its report into its enquiry on eating disorders.
The LDC Confederation submitted evidence to the enquiry and is referenced in the final report. The submission, available here, was based on our long standing policy position on eating disorders and their impact on oral and dental health. It is reassuring to see the Committee’s acknowledgement and recognition of the impact of eating disorders on oral health, and their support for increased integration and pathways to assist dental patients.
The final report contains 12 wide ranging recommendations including the improvement of training for health care professionals on eating disorders.
We look forward to working with stakeholders to action the recommendations.
