Islington Council has launched a new stop smoking campaign, Stop for Good, aimed at supporting residents on their journey towards a smoke-free future.
This campaign is grounded in community-led research, developed in collaboration with a social marketing expert and supported by local organisations. It focuses on key priority groups within our communities, including:
- Turkish-speaking residents
- Polish-speaking residents
- Bangladeshi men
- Mixed white and Black Caribbean community
- Parents and families with children under 5
- LGBTQ+ community
- Routine and manual workers
Islington Council will be sharing promotional materials with healthcare colleagues and community organisations across the borough. We would greatly appreciate your help in promoting the campaign in the lead-up to Stoptober and beyond.
How you can help:
- Display campaign materials prominently in your practice or pharmacy
- Signpost smokers to local stop smoking services
- Engage with patients from priority groups to raise awareness
Campaign Materials for Screens:
- Stop for Good poster General for screens
- Stop for Good poster Parents for screens
- Stop for Good flyer RMW for screens
- Stop for Good poster Bangladeshi for screens
- Stop for Good flyer Polish & Turkish for screens
Together, we can make a meaningful impact in helping residents quit smoking and improve their health.
